The vision of HDSC is to improve the quality of life for the houseless individuals and families, the abused, substance and alcohol abusers, youth, AIDS victims, prostitutes, prisoners and their families, the elderly and other people that need assistance & resources.  In order to improve their quality of life, HDSC’s first priority is to instill hope and life skills in our clients by guiding them to live healthy and productive lives. 

Our Dream

The Hawaii Dream Service Center is a fresh and new approach that will "Greatly Impact" the houseless crisis and help the people who desperately need their dreams fulfilled.  HDSC wants to do more than just pick people up, dust them off, feed them, clothe them, maybe provide a 12 step program for them, and send them back out on the streets.  Our goal is to become a "One Stop Shop" and "Clearing House" to help people fulfill their dreams in life and assist other community organizations to make a difference in the lives of their clients as well.  HDSC does not want to take away anything from any organization, but do our part in "Building a Better Hawaii Together". 

Two thousand people can be serviced at one time and as they begin to realize their dreams and move on, others can transition from "Tent City" Program or our "Safe Parking" Program into the Dream Center and take their place and begin to work on their dreams.  It is a never ending circle of dreams being made possible right here on Oahu.  The social impact on Oahu will be immense, starting with each individual and going all the way to the justice system and the Governors office.  Unemployment will decrease, qualified employees will increase, people receiving assistance from the different areas of welfare will decrease and home owners will increase. The youth of Hawaii will be able to vocational & employment train  like never before and give back to the school system and community.  Future employees and employers all over Hawaii, could easily come from the very clients we train.  It is truly a win, win program for State of Hawaii & our future.

Hawaii Dream Service Center (HDSC) will improve the planning in the use of all community resources for technical, vocational & employment education; to evaluate the programs, community resources and services assisted under the State's system & Federal system of standards and quality of life standards thus enabling the Dream Center to measure and track performance for one year.  Together with community resources & Ohana Community Partners the Dream Center will be able to reduce stereotyping, gender bias of different cultural needs, race modification, national origin type casting, sex preference and disability disqualification through education programs, activity programs, community employment programs and internships, & services to provide equal access to all ages & nationalities by electing to choose career goals, objectives and programs that will best fit their needs to stimulate "Economic Development, Workforce Education & Vocational Training", in summary the Hawaii Dream Service Center will be "A Place to Build a Better Person, Family, Community & Hawaii Together". A "True One Stop Shop" for the people of Hawaii that need resources.
